Summer Research Fellowship for International Students

Global Talent Attraction Program:

An undergraduate research program for high-achieving international students.

Are you interested in research? Have you considered going to graduate school in the United States? If so, consider applying for the Global Talent Attraction Program, an international summer research fellowship.

GTAP Scholars can spend a summer conducting research with faculty from the Indiana University Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering—a top technology and information school.

Eligibility and requirements

To be eligible for the fellowship, you must:

  • Be a full-time undergraduate student in an accredited university outside the United States
  • Be available to participate in the fellowship for eight to ten weeks between May and September
  • Submit all application materials by the deadline

You are expected to participate in the fellowship full time. You may not enroll in classes, nor other summer programs occuring at the same time, or hold other employment.

  • A curriculum vitae (CV) or resume that highlights your academic and research accomplishments
  • A letter that explains the research area in which you would like to work during the fellowship
  • Your most recent transcript
  • Optional: a recommendation letter from a faculty member at your home institution
