The Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering has four departments, and the interdisciplinary Data Science Program.

Department of Computer Science

The Department of Computer Science teaches students to use computers to develop fast, scalable, and secure solutions to a range of problems—and to make incredible ideas possible.

Department of Informatics

The Department of Informatics gives students the technical, organizational, and communications skills they need to bridge the gap between technology and the people who use it.

Department of Information and Library Science

At the Department of Information and Library Science, students learn how to curate, organize, and disseminate information to make it more useful to local and global communities.

Department of Intelligent Systems Engineering

Using artificial intelligence and computing, students in ISE engineer next-generation solutions through systems that gather and apply data and sense and react to their environments.

Data Science Program

In the Data Science Program, students learn how to use data to solve problems, unite communities, transform industries, prevent disasters, and most importantly, improve lives. The program is an interdisciplinary collaboration among the four departments of Luddy and the Department of Statistics.
