AI Training Registration

Please complete the form below by Monday, August 16th to register for the 2021 Luddy Orientation, which will be held virtually on Zoom on Thursday, August 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Primary Role Details

  • Grader: Primarily responsible for grading student work including homework assignments, projects, quizzes, examinations, etc. Some departments may require graders to also have tutoring responsibilities. Reports to the primary instructor.
  • Lab Instructor: Responsible for lab instruction, grading lab reports, and managing students and equipment in the lab. May collaborate with lab technicians and other lab instructors if there are multiple sections of the course. Reports to the primary instructor of the course that offers the lab credits.
  • Primary Instructor: Primary instructors are responsible for all of the instruction for an entire course. They may receive a syllabus from their department or group exams, but their students do not receive instruction from any other person during the semester. Typically, primary instructors are responsible for creating daily in-class activities and quizzes, in addition to all grading and feedback for students during the semester.
  • Recitation/Discussion Leader: Recitation leaders support large lecture courses by leading separate sessions for a group of students. These study sessions may be focused on problem-solving or in-depth discussion of the topics from the main lecture. Recitation leaders often provide feedback and grades to their students but the credit hours for their sections may be limited.
