Andrea M. Morrison is the head of Monographic Text Cataloging, Technical Services Department, Indiana University Libraries. Her areas of expertise are cataloging and government information. She teaches Z504 Cataloging and Advanced Cataloging Workshops for the I.U. Department of Information and Library Science and co-teaches Z525 Government Information with Jennifer Bryan Morgan, Jerome Hall Law Library. Andrea and Jennifer have also co-taught online government information courses for University of Washington, Seattle, Information School and for Drexel University. Andrea teaches online cataloging workshops for the Midwest Collaborative for Library Services (MCLS).
Andrea writes and presents on topics related to cataloging and government information. She is active in professional organizations such as ALA Government Documents Round Table (GODORT), Indiana Library Federation (ILF), Indiana Networking for Documents and Information of Government Organizations (INDIGO), and the Ohio Valley Group of Technical Services Librarians (OVGTSL). Andrea is currently serving as the 2021-2023 chair of INDIGO and is on the editorial board of Cataloging & Classification Quarterly. At Indiana University, Andrea is a full rank Librarian with academic status. She has served on promotion and tenure committees for the libraries and campus, evaluated dossiers, and mentored students seeking academic positions. She promotes student scholarship by mentoring student publication in the official journal of GODORT, DttP: Documents to the People.
