Nelda Montemayor is in her 19th year at Indiana University. She is the Director of Graduate Recruitment and Admissions at Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering. She has served in the same capacity at IU's School of Public Health-Bloomington (2014-2022), held position of Director of Student Services at IU's School of Education and the College of Arts and Sciences-Graduate Office (2006-2014), was elected and served on Indiana University's Professional Staff Council from 2018-2020, and awarded the 2018 IU Latino Faculty Council's Staff Award.
Nelda is an advocate for students and families with special needs. She has served on the Monroe County Autism Foundation Board and has volunteered with other social organizations including Habitat for Humanity.
