The Society of American Archivists–Student Chapter (SAA-SC) recently held a student conference at the Lilly Library, IU Bloomington on March 6, 2010. The title was: “Change and Continuity: A Conference for Students and Beginning Professionals on Archives, Rare Books, and Special Collections.”
Speakers from six different institutions presented papers on various topics. Among those speakers were current SLIS students Ashley Howdeshell, Bethany Fiechter, Jessica Lynn, Jessica Moad, and Scott Bacon. Elizabeth McCraw and Libby Hertenstein from the Lilly Library also gave presentations. A special workshop was held at the end by Phil Bantin, the University Archivist.
The conference was organized by Valerie Higgins, Bethany Feichter, Scott Bacon, Angela Kilsdonk, and Alisa Beer. Session moderators were Amy Jankowski, Jessica Lynn, Kris Stenson, Levon Williams, and Sara Szakaly.
