As part of their admission package, some Luddy graduate students may receive travel funding to support their professional and academic development. Eligibility for this funding is outlined in the student's admission letter. This funding is intended exclusively for attending degree-related conferences where the student is presenting a peer-reviewed, authored research paper, poster, or demo that was developed as part of their academic coursework or research.
Funding Details & Eligible Expenses
Students who qualify for these funds may use them for the following conference-related expenses:
- airfare
- mileage
- care rental
- taxi / rideshare
- hotel accommodations
- conference registration fees
Funds cannot be used for:
- entertainment
- recreational travel
- or non-conference-related expenses
Review & Approval Process
- All funding requests are subject to final approval by the Director of Graduate Studies.
- Funding is limited, and requests should be submitted as early as possible.
- Students must follow IU travel policies and retain itemized receipts for reimbursement.
