Why Luddy?

Why Luddy? Let us show you why.

IU said yes! Now it’s up to you to say yes to IU and Luddy! Admitted students are invited to join us either March 1-2 or March 22-23 to find out WHY LUDDY is a great fit for you and your college experience. You’ll hear from our faculty about each of our tech majors, meet our career and advising teams who will help guide you on your way to your dream career, and interact with current Luddy students who will show you WHY LUDDY is the path toward your future in technology. (If you’re a Cybersecurity & Global Policy major, we recommend you attend March 1-2 so you can take part in both the Luddy and the Hamilton Lugar School events.)

Why Luddy Testimonials

Description of the video:

When I attended Why Luddy? four years ago,  I had the amazing opportunity to connect to
faculty one-on-one at the event. My family  and I were able to talk to Dr. Dalkilic,
who would turn out to be my very first professor  at Luddy, about what we would cover, what I could
do to prepare for college. And it was super  interesting to hear his side of the story where
he talks about how Luddy professors don't just  look at students as numbers but rather people.
They're invested in our future. I can honestly say  that after college where I'll be entering into the
workforce as an analyst for Deloitte I'm better  prepared because of the lessons that I learned
and the comfort that the professors were able to  provide even before college at Why Luddy? event.
A fun fact about me is that I met my best  friend at my Why Luddy? day. Especially as
an out-of-state student it was kind of a scary  thought that I wouldn't know anyone coming into
I.U. But one of the great things about Why Luddy?  is not only did it give me an opportunity to meet
current students, but I was also able to meet  other prospective students so that coming into
I.U. I wouldn't be so alone. And that was probably  something that really helped me in deciding that
I wanted to come to I.U. As a prospective  college student, one of my favorite parts
about Why Luddy? was the ability for me to have  one-on-one conversations with all of the Luddy
Ambassadors. Basically, the Luddy Ambassadors are  a group of students who are within Luddy in the
five majors and they actually helped answer  all the questions that I had for college,
for Luddy. I was able to ask all these Luddy  ambassadors their individual experiences as
they were currently in those classes. And this was  a really big reason for why I chose Luddy and I.U.
